Amy A. Long is an immigration attorney who spends her time between East Providence, RI and Alexandria, VA. She is a 2003 graduate of the Washington College of Law, American University, located in Washington, D.C. Attorney Long is licensed to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia and has also been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the American Bar Association (ABA). Attorney Long does not practice Rhode Island state law. Her practice is limited to federal immigration law only.
Prior to practicing law, Attorney Long traveled throughout parts of Europe, the Caribbean and the Middle East and studied in Norwich, England at the University of East Anglia. Specifically, she visited England, Ireland, Brussels, Holland, Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Israel, and Lebanon.
Attorney Long taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship classes to help prepare U.S. residents for their civics and English exam.
She has accompanied her clients to interviews at the USCIS Washington Field Office in Fairfax, VA, the Arlington Asylum Office, and has represented clients before the Arlington Immigration Court.
